Katie Winslow

dancer. filmmaker. creator.

about me!

Katie Winslow is an artist currently based in the United States, working as a freelance artist. She grew up in Royal Palm Beach, Florida, where her love for the arts began. She earned her BFA in Modern Dance with a Minor in psychology and her BA in Film and Media Arts from the University of Utah in May 2025. Throughout her time in college, she had the opportunity to train with and learn from professors such as Daniel Clifton, Natalie Desch, Kym McDaniel, and Alex Smith. She also worked as part of the film crew for multiple student films and feature-length films, choreographed and participated in several dance performances, and worked as a Stitcher in the School of Dance Costume Shop. Her love for the arts stems from her desire to make the audience feel something. Through themes of vulnerability and nostalgia, her and her choreography collaborators strive to create something magical. She enjoys drawing from different art mediums, such as music, films, sewing, or crocheting to influence her work and aid in her creative process, and create multimedia-centered work. Feeling the balance between play and exploration versus seriousness and discipline is something that allows herself, and her dancers, to flourish.
